    Default Anyone have a good hot wing sauce recipe?

    I'm tired of all the store bought wing sauce. None of it really clicks with me. Does anyone here have any recipes, or know of any really good, really hot stuff from the store?

    I know this isn't what you're looking for, but check out a hot sauce called 'The Source' sometime. It has 7.1 Million Scoville units and is supposed to be the hottest sauce in the world. I think you need to sign a wavier before they'll send it to you.

    I think that if you put one drop into a vat of chili it's apparently still unbelievably hot.

    1/2 stick real butter, 1/2 C hot sauce (more or less makes it hotter or mild) season with garlic powder, salt and pepper... Its alot like Hooters sauce and real basic, But good... I dont use tabasco, i use crystal or lousianna hot sauce... Good luck

    I had a garden at my parents house to keep the rodents out, I used to line the edge of the garden with chilli, jalapeno or habanero peppers and Marigolds 'cause the animals can't stand them.

    Anyway, last year, we had a bumper crop of little red chillis. They were very red, so red they almost looked brown. I didn't know what to do with them. There is a guy at work that LOVES hot sauces. So I took the chillis, dried them out by just tying them up and hanging them in the kitchen for a few weeks. Then I roasted them for about 20 minutes in a 350 degree oven in a pan coated with a thin layer of olive oil that I brushed on just so they wouldn't stick. Then I pulled the green stems off and ground up the chillis, seeds and all. The seeds are where the REAL heat is. Then I took the powder and combined it with some horseradish, tomato paste, a small amount of currey, papkira, garlic salt and onion powder. Depending on how much you make, put about 10% of the total volume of the sauce in of olive oil. I cooked it down for a little bit to get rid of alot of the water in the tomato paste and horesradish.

    It has a very different flavor. It was good but some people may not have enjoyed it. One thing it was though was freaking HOT! I put the olive oil in to help mellow the heat of the chillis so you would get that roasted flavor. I didn't think that it would end up coating your mouth with the chilli heat and burn for a while afterwards.

    i like to stick crushed red pepper in the hotsauce too, adds a good zing to them....and i'd add the hotsauce after the wings are cooked, its better that way.

    I like Honey better but this works out great! Sweet and sour flavor and the sugar in the syrup or honey crystalizes and makes the outside extremely crunchy! Also, they stay hot for good long time!

    Ok, I just tried this one, and it turned out to be really good. I added just a bit of tobasco to spice things up. Thanks faster.
