I'm not sure if this is a good deal, but thought I'd share in case it is.

If they are in any decent shape at all, you should get them for yourself. I would get them, but shipping to Memphis would cost as much as a small country.

Has anyone actually called to find out any info? If they really are SDA SRS's, then someone is going to get a great deal. I'm sure the Klipsch center channel is worth about half of that asking price, right;) . If I have time, I'll call tomorrow to find out what is up.

Pony express offer (short leg) if a club member snatches them up.
    I’m in SW Oklahoma.

And no, short leg does not refer to the ponies pecker!

I just got off the phone with the guy. Seemed cool, although I would say english is not his first language.

Claims the speakers are in great condition.... welcomes a home audition, etc.. Over-all, I was left with a good impression.

I have family in the area, will be giving them a shout tomorrow. If shipping wont kill me, I may stretch my neck out on a limb here. I've wanted those SRS's for some time now...

edit: He does not have the original boxes.

    Okie,

I am investigating my options and seeing if anything is even possible. I dont have my hopes up and will gladly step aside for someone else who wants these SDA's. I have enough stuff... but then again, can you ever have *enough*? :)

Im still pretty commited to that sub though, that is, if Polkthug doesnt decide to keep it.

That is two sets of SDA's this week that I would have jumped all over if I had the $$$. But, then I would have to buy a new cd player and amp and speaker wire............ Then I definetly wouldn't have any $$$$$. All for the best right now I suppose.

Let me know how everything turns out. I'm going to bed tonight.

The SDA's are something special. Truly they are. Man, if you have the money on hand - go for it. It will probably be THE single best investment you will make in audio. For his asking price - its almost being given to you.

Default Ask him to measure them for you.

Even if he doesn't have a digital camera,
he should be able to come up with a tape measure.
It may be just me, but from the description I got the impression they were SDA 2's, unless he meant 2 speakers.
$365 would be in line with the SDA 2's.
If they are in fact SDA SRS, and they are even close to complete,
that would be a hell of a price.
If he tells you they are over 60" tall,
63 3/4" to be exact, there can be no doubt as to what they are.

    the best of luck!

Says SDA SRS 2 which should mean they are 50" tall. Russman has a pair.

Someone take these before I do.

I am. And I have some questions about shipping them. He has no boxes for them, so, I will have to fabricate all the padding. Whats going to be the best way to do so? It will be a 3-4 hour trip back up to Seattle. Any advice? Do these things have to be standing up the whole time?
