Awesome Light Show

Last night about 1:00AM, I'm sitting in the family room doing paperwork from a previous days mission. All of a sudden, it sounds like gunfire outside. LOTS of gunfire. I looked up and out the window in time to see the utility pole across the street friggin' EXPLODE. The top of that pole gradually, over the space of 2-3 seconds, became the brightest thing I have ever seen. It was absolutely spectacular, in that it turned night into day. I have seen magnesium flares up close, that didn't appear to be half as bright as this. It did this 3 times, and in between it would die down to almost nothing, but sparks were still showering down on the ground. The 3 times it went to full brightousity, it stayed that way for what seemed like about 10 seconds. WICKED light show. Electricity be some fascinating and BAD juju.
