Question Did Polk make a "Studio" version 3.1TL ?

Finally heard back from the seller, and got some pics.
He doesn't have the SDA IC .
They are all black, including the top caps.

    Hi Luc,
I'm quite sure they did. I've seen more than one picture of a "stripped" 3.1TL before. I've never seen a Studio version of either of the larger TL speakers though.

Just to confirm Emlyn's post, yes the 3.1TL came in a all black studio version. Of course, the price would be lower for that version, more like $500.00 to $600.00 depending on condition.

    Default Thanks J-man!

I'm going to wait and see how the auction goes. Looks like "Joels" from the forum is on it as well.

    Default 3.1tl's

Just an FYI... The studio version end caps and side strips are solid pieces of oak, not vinyl or anything and easily restorable. I was able to sand down the tops of mine to bare wood to remove some slight gouges before repainting. With some time and effort, these could be stripped and refinished to any desired stain color.
