LSIFX Stand mounted

I sent an email to Polk that was ignored. I would like some opinions here. My home theater room is going to have a row of windows on one side. It will be impossible to mount the LSIFX on the wall.

Do the LSIFX'S lose their effect if they aren't wall mounted?

You can stand mount them but keep them as close to the wall as possible or in your case the windows.

Windows suck to deal with when trying to Install home theater in a room dominated by them. Good luck and make sure there safe.

welcome to CP! I have mine on a Sanus Ultimate Steel Foundation 34" I know it is pretty high for them to sit on a stand, but it has been stable for the past 2 years. I have the same problem, windows all around (it's a family room). Good luck!

Thanks very much for your answers!! Another question. How do you like your LSIFX's? If you had it to do over would you put LSI9's all around instead?

No, I would do it all over again with FX. I put 9 on the front (main) and 7 in the back. Sound dispersions of the Fx fit my preference better, especially for movies. If you have 5.1, is even more reason to use Fx on the side (IMO) since it needs to cover side and back surround. YMMV.
