    Question Connecting to my computer

I'm trying to connect my apple powermac G4 to my receiver and when I try to listen to music from my computer I have to turn the volume up way louder than normal and theres a humming sound coming from my speakers. I'm using an iCable that a guy at best buy told me to use which is actually made for an iPod and I'm connected to a Denon 2803. Thanks for the help

That will happen, it's a computer, and they don't usually have the most impressive DACs, low noise enviroments, etc. but I digress, try turning the sound card up to near max to get a better signal-to-noise ratio, and see if that covers the hum.
