Default FS: Parasound HCA 1000 amp

For sale is a Parasound HCA-1000 THX-certified amp in very good condition. Works perfectly; only issues are cosmetic – has a “rash” (i.e., discoloration) on the top of the unit. The face is fairly clean. No dings or dents. I’m using it to power my rear speakers. Here are the specs:

    125W RMS x 2 into 8ohms
    200W RMS x 2 into 4ohms

There is a switch on the back to bridge the channels for Mono use. In bridged mode it pumps out a whopping 400 watts into 8ohms.

Price is $250 shipped to lower 48. Please post your interest in the unit here, then PM me. PayPal is preferred. I will ship it out within 24 hours. Thanks.
HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50” LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Is that a rack mount? If it's a rack mount, I'll have to pass....sorry, it wasn't mentioned in the description so I figured it was a full 19" faceplate.

Very tempting but I must keep saving for an HDTV or I'd snatch this up in a second :(

I'm 23, and since I started my current job and built this entire system I've made around $17,000 over the last year - so these are pretty big expenses for me, but luckily I have pretty low rent.

Anyway, It would add another month to buying an HDTV if I got the amp, and the difference between 55wpc and 200wpc for my rears seems like a less significant difference than finally being able to use the Denon's PureProgressive goodness :)

Man, this was just two days ago? How did I miss it?! Looks like a great deal, esp. with the pre-amp, too.

Actually...no. I have to put on the brakes on this one. I didn't realize the unit won't fit in my rack until I checked out dkg999's
thread for the 850 which I was gonna' grab also. That's when I realized I had issues with the width of the faceplate. Of course had I read the whole thread here I would have realized that.

Sorry Early, I gotta' back out of this one. Stupid me!

    This is Pathetic.

Sometimes Hi-Fidelity must just escape this bunch. I can't believe this is still here.
