Awesome buy there. I'd like some tubes one day for my Klipsch, and I certainly wouldn't mind something from ASL.

    Sorry, collecting my thoughts.
RT, I took the ASL to Troy's for a demo a few weeks ago and we
tried it out on the Monitor 7's then a pair of CRS's. The Jolida was the source and IMO either set up was fine. Definition/seperation was there with the tubes involved so it's a toss up between the two sets of speakers. (I will say the 7' are magical though, better than my 10's IMO) On a side note, switched to Sovtek kt88's and
though they are better than average i'm probably going to swap them for a quad of EH's either 6550's or the KT88's, the Sovteks are definitely more forward at the higher frequencies and i've found I prefer the fuller mid's the EH's provide.
Forward to just recently, SDA and tubes is the shiznitz, Troy's CJ amp w/Sunfire pre and the Philips player combo'ed with the big SDA's will lock you in and tends not to release your attention 'til the disc has ended. I threw on some various genres of music and I think we both found Jazz (acoustic and vocal) to be above average in presentation. Oh, and James Taylor, Norah Jones, Allison Krauss ,Tracey Chapman etc. Right there and "REAL".
BTW Troy, that Dusty in Memphis.....stellar absolutely stellar.

Congrats DAG! ASL makes some awesome products for the price. I have the AQ2004DT pre amp and it's awesome. Enjoy the new int.

    Audiobliss,
Forget the Wave mono's. Save your coins for the 1003DT and pop in some nice EL34 or 6CA7 if you feel like rockin out.
