FS: Rti4, Rti6 in Cherry

Hi all.

I have pair of RTi4s and RTi6s I need to unload before my wife kills me. I was just going to ebay but thought I'd give all here a shot first.

Both are in the cherry finish and both pairs have almost exactly 30 hours of play on my 2 ch rig. They were purchased in the hopes that I might actually prefer them over my LSi9s. Sometimes I think the 9's are a little too mellow. Ok back to the subject. Below are pictures of the RTi4s (RTi6s have already been boxed for awhile). As you can see they are in LIKE NEW condition. I do not use spikes on my speakers stands so even the bottoms are free of any marks. These speakers were never at any time abused. Also they will be packaged exactly the way they were when new. Right down to the padded foam and bags they were wrapped in. (no I am not OCD)

Ok now to the important stuff.

Price:
RTi4s: $160 plus actual shipping of your choice
RTi6s: $250 same
Will consider reasonable offers.

I'd love to swap my black set for these. I have a pair of 4's, 6's and a CSi3. Perhaps we can work a 3 way deal out?

The cherry Rti4's look great in person. They look like a more expensive speaker than the black version.

Well it appears that both pairs are up for grabs due to the pending sale falling through.

These are some great speakers for anyone looking to start a small HT system, bedroom system, or even a nice 2ch office system.

damn. My black rti4's are less than a year old and mint. I see these cherries and I want to cry.

It's too bad you're not looking for some black ones. I'd be all up for an even trade.

The RTi-4 is perhaps the best speaker Polk has out in todays line up, be it monitor, rti, or even lsi.

That is subjective. I have the 6 and the 4s, and I prefer the 6s. They are both fine speakers though. I have not listened to the LSi series, so I cannot comment on those.

Anon,

The variation of opinions is a great thing. When looking at anything from a standpoint of a ‘one product fits all’, then certainly anything is subjective to the individual subjects doing the listening!

I am speaking strictly from the actual design and function stand-point. The cab, driver compliment and even cross-over point are simply spot-on. They definitely wont fit everyone’s criteria or application, but I have to tip my hat off to Polk for getting that speaker right.

As an aside, however, my favorite of Polk’s current speakers are still the RTi-6’s. Pin them up with a Dynakit tube amp with a decent front end, and you got it made in the shade, baby.
