    Question Sub advice....

    I am deciding which Polk Sub will best suit my needs, I have SDA-SRS in front, and R30 in rear... and not really sure how much sub I need, for instance if a PSW120 would be enuf ?? any ideas?

    To enhance/outperform the bass from your front speakers (I assume the big SDA-SRS'), you'll need to go a lot higher than the Polk subs. Check HSU, SVS, Rocket, Velodyne and some paradigm subs and find what you like. You can often times check around to get demos of the HSU, Rocket, and SVS subs

    SVS. With subs, the bass you can't hear (IE below 20Hz) is just as important as the bass you can (in my opinion).

    Oh, and I'm not biased or anything just cause I have two of these!!

    Send these guys a mail with your room dimensions etc. and they will find you the right solution.

    the room is 15 x 15 however, not completely closed in, one side kind of opens in to another part of the house...

    i looked at and listened to a lot of subs before i decided on my velodyne dls-500r. with a room that size a 12" from hsu, svs, or velodyne (my fav) will sound great. take a look at the velodyne dls-4000, i think you will be very happy with it.
