Okay, I need some of you freaks over here in the car forums to help me out:D
We're looking to build a box for my friend, he now has the MM12 in the box Polk made for it, but he's got an '02 Silverado and that thing won't fit under his back seat, so we get to make him a new one, a sealed enclosure is that we're looking at. This is a first for me, and I have a couple questions:
1 - Any tips on sealing the box? What's the best thing to use (Silicone?), and is there any trick to doing this?
2 - Do we need any kind of internal bracing in the box? I wouldn't think so given the small size, but need to be sure.
3 - I assume we'll need some type of filling for the inside. How much, what's the best stuff to get, and how do we install that?
4 - It looks like the cubic feet is .66, that sound about right? What will be the effect of going over or under that amount? I assume it's better to have more air space than not enough?
Any other tips, bring 'em on. If there's a website reference that covers most of this, feel free to share that as well.
Thanks for your help guys.
