Universal optical cables

I needed to find an optical cable to connect my iRiver to a receiver (needed the miniplug end, not the "normal" toslink end), and stopped by RS. They had these on clearance. I don't know how good or bad these are in the overall scheme of things, but in general RS's "Gold Series" tends to get good pub in the realm of ultracheap. For $6.97 each, it's cheaper than any other optical cable I've found locally. It was the only non-Monster *spit* cable RS carried that had the miniplug end...
