It doesn't. However, the major difference is that I can tell said dog to go take a hike. I'm not there to be a notch on his belt.Originally posted by marker

Thereby letting him know that such behavior is not acceptable to any woman that has any kind of self respect.
Whereas the Bond movies make it seem like this is perfectly acceptable & cool behavior.
I know, it is for you guys, but it's not for me.

Actually there is a difference, in the movies, Bond ALWAYS scores every time, and in real life, we just want to. Basic fantasy vs reality.
I have most of the Bond collection , but Gold Finger and Dr. No are the two that always stick in my mind from when I was younger ... "My names Bond , James Bond"
I do happen to like "Golden Eye" from the newer versions .

I recently bought volume 1 and 2 of the james bond collection. I happened to watch Dr No a couple weeks ago. Geez, what a hokie movie. Ursula Andress as the 'shell lady' and that goofy looking Jamaican boat guy with the fake accent. The island 'monster' was basically a tank. And the laughable radiation suits. Sean Connery had this stupid grin most of the movie. I don't know.....not quite how I remember it I guess. I was pretty disappointed. The book was real good though.
I agree. If you look at, say Goldeneye for example, and then go back and watch Goldfinger, it's pretty boring by comparision. Keep in mind though that about 35 years from when they were made seperates them, and technology obviously improved by leaps and bounds.
On a side note, my father was stationed at Fort Knox back in the early 60s when they were filming Goldfinger. He's actually in it as one of the troops that "fell asleep" from the crop duster.
