Default Polks on Audigone (not a sale)

I have noticed while flipping through the sales, there are not many polks for sale.

    I can think 2 things
1-(which I think is the case) People like their polks and don't want to sell them.

2-people don't buy lots of polk products therefore there are not many for sale compared to other companies.

    anyone else notice this?

My guess is that MOST people who buy Polks aren't into high end audio and they have no idea Audiogon even exists. That is why you'll find more Polks for sale on ebay.

agree, audiogon is IMO for higher end gear with some medium to low end gear sprinkled in... plenty of people buy polks, look at e-bay, your not broke because you buy polks.. Just a different kind of consumer.. I see jm labs on audiogon for 40,000 bucks.. Ok ya never see that level on e-bay.....

IMO, Polk could have easily targeted the "high-end" buyer with their SDA series and probably could have sold them for ten times what they retailed for. Thank God they decided to market it to the masses or most of us would have only heard SDA's at a "high-end" boutique. There is just not very many speakers out there for under $15-20k that can compete with the "Big Boys". Just my opinion, and yes I've heard the Avant Gardes of the world among many others, and while they sound very good, I just can't hear the huge monetary difference.
