Yeah, I am getting into this one.

Altho, I have no idea what the hell kind of plot is happening here... (Why do the robbers want to get in so bad?)

But it's Fincher -- who wins the award for being the new Ridley Scott -- and Foster, who is SO HOT (and photographs so well in the hands of great directors) that I can't get over it.

I watched CONTACT again recently, and I just love her.

Sorry to disappoint, but the movie was less than fulfilling. There were just too many plot holes to really get caught up in the movie. BTW, I saw it in a Dolby MONO theater and the actual film looked like it was 4 centuries old, so that might have something to do with why I didn't like the movie that much. Fincher fan's will notice some very distinct "Fincher" scenes (ala Fight Club). All and all, C+. Entertaining but just lacked something.
    Sorry. :(

Watched this Saturday night. Really enjoyed it, decent edge of the seat thriller. Not worth a purchase, but made for a great rental.

I thought it looked great & was reasonably entertaining. Basically just another thriller, but better than most. I don't have prog scan, but I thought it looked great--does superbit make any difference if you don't have prog scan?

Watched it at Theatre and home. Theatre experince was not that fulfilling but enjoyed it more at home. I agree with Ron's comment that it worth a good rental.

    Thumbs down

WOW! Nice dig up from a YEAR ago. One of the worst movies I have even seen. And it is one of the worst Superbits ever released. Very poor sound and video quality. Very Boring.
PS3 and HD Front Projection, life is good. Too bad Blu-Ray and the PS3 are already obsolete.....

I agree.. boring and just way too contrived. Not that there weren't some suspenseful moments, taken on their own.. but in the larger context of a story.. weak. Gilligan's Island did a better job of explaining why the Howell's had all that cash, and why Ginger had 3 months worth of clothes - and both were more believable than the premise of Panic Room.
