Tomorrow is the big day, just want to make sure my local pickup guys are checking their schedules for the next few days.

I MAY let us get outbid, with substantial time left - but don't worry.

Contributors, I'll divey up the total, and send out emails Sunday morning.

    Cheers,
    Russ

We'll pay a fair price, but nothing outrageous. I put another bid in, and I'll check in from my phone before close.

Just got back in. They went for about what I thought they would.

I've been out in the heat test driving some turbo Volvo's, so for now I'm shirtless with a quart of Gatorade. Headed to Uncle Charlie's to dig the Gallo Reference, and some Green Mountain Audio shelf speakers.

I'll get totals out, emails sent etc tomorrow morning.

Who was picking these up again? I'm too beat to search through email right now. Regardless, I've contacted the seller, and started the process in motion.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Mike682 lives the closest, I believe. Then ohskigod can take the handoff and bring 'em home. If Lou can't do it, I will.

How 'bout it Mike and Lou???

I'll wait for mike to chime in, i'm all good for the handoff. I've got plenty of room for storage as well until the polkfest if need be. I can pass them to Amulford at anytime if for some reason i cant make it to MD.
If Mike cant do the pickup, then I will make the run into long island. a weeknight will be best since my shedule next weekend is jammed, and i'm picking up the Amazing's tomorrow. Russ, give him a PM when you send all the emails out. If no responce, get me the addy and a cell for the guy and i'll find a way to link up with him.

Amazing how it works some times. Incredible that there were only 2 bidders out of 548 looks. Bet he had about 30 watchers too.

Ok, pm's have been sent. 7 members @ 25 a pop, plus I added an extra member in, just in case someone can't do it (which is ok), if nothing else, we can cover the paypal fees for the seller.

Any other leftovers will go to supplies for F1 to do touch up / restore work, or to the general fund for the Gathering in sept.

Our pickup guy - Mike, g'head and email me again. I left our 2 pony pexpress/pickups out of the pay list, their gas/time is more than enough contribution.

    I'll update as things progress.

If you didn't get a pm, don't sweat it - I drew a few names out of hat - no need to have 15 people making $10 contributions. You guys STILL rock.

Just saw this, this is awesome. If push comes to shove on transport or the $$$ is a bit short, I'll definately help out.

if all goes well, Mike and I will do the handoff tomorrow

I can keep these at my house if need be, i have plenty of room. they will be kept indoors and climate controlled. I figure if a problem arises to where I dont go to Polkfest, I can pass them to Amulford for the relay, but understand that I have every intention of attending.

    Ok

I picked up the speakers today. Lou and I are going to re-schedule the handoff date.

There are some nicks, etc....but overall, they are in very good shape.

I am going to post pics in the vintage forum:
