My daughter lost her adapter for her cell phone.
It requires a 12vdc .3a adapter and I found, in my toy-box, a 12vdc 300 ma adapter.
My question is... are these the same thing?
Is 300ma = .3a?
Surely someone here knows.

Yes, 1000mA = 1A. So 100mA = .1A, so 300mA = .3A. Should be fine.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

make sure the polarity is the same on that little plug... I know most are positive to the center but they say some are reversed pol.

Also remember that some devices require a particular adaptor regardless of "voltage" and "current" ratings listed on it. This is because in a no load situation some adaptors rise significantly higher in voltage than listed whereas others do not.
