    Default Parasound Advice

    I just recently purchased a HCA 1200 II amp for my 2 ch system, I will be unloading my adcom gear (will post on the flea mkt. at a later date) Any advice on a 2 ch pre would be appreciated, solid state vs tube, currently looking @ Anthem(tube)and Pasrasound SS,any advice as to a good match would be appreciated--speaks-1c's (soon) Thanks in advance

    most people on here seem to like or at least reccomend a tube pre with an SS amp, so I'd look at tube pre's in your price range.

    I'd look at an Anthem Pre-1L or Pre-2L, as they are excellent tube pre-amps for the money. Just a suggestion, as there are others in that price bracket with similar features and connections. Check out Audiogon.

    hey george, i just got a line on a anthem pre 1L linestage and the scary part is i was looking for it after reading your post and i came back to club polk and there is doro recommending the same thing! i am waiting for them to call me back with a price AND IF YOU DONT BUY IT I MIGHT!

    the guy just called me back and he is asking $485.00 does this sound high? it is supposed to be in great shape and the dealer is a high end store in california it has a black faceplate. and all the tubes test good. does anyone have access to an audio blue book to see if this is a fair price?

    I think the price is a little high, but that would depend on more information.

    Original boxes, tube glove, screwdriver, etc.

    Demo or Trade-In....you get the picture.
