cable upgrade and hook-up

I think I am getting the hang of this stuff.... But in case I am wrong he it goes.

hitachi 46 projection
yamaha 2500
panasonic dvd-s35
b&k st 1430 series2(3ch)

I have 1 set of monster cable component going from dvd to yam. Optical going from dvd to yam. Mc interlink 100 from dvd to yam. Going to get signalcable component video (5ft) to go from yamaha monitor out to hitachi input 1.

Then run signalcables 3(analog2) (4 ft) from yamaha to b&k.
I did not order the signal cables yet. Wanted to get some feedback first. Is it ok to use monster and signalcables together?

yes it's fine to use monster and signal cables together. signal cables will give you excellent results.. at about half the price of monster. FYI

I will eventually go all signal. Do to all the fine reviews here. But those are the ones I need now. Not sure about the lengths but I would rather be longer than shorter.
Does the hook-up sound right?
