Green in rear Projection

I have a Toshiba 57 inch TV. Lately im seeing alot of green in my blacks and even reset the levels for everything according to many forums..when i turn my cable box off and leave it on that video input it has a very very green tint to the whole screen.....I had the green light blow up in my TV the first week I had it and they replaced the whole thing. The questionI have is that I bought the 4 year warranty freom bestbuy you think they will replace my tv? I dont think they make my model anymore ive had the tv for about 2 years.

You should be fine with that 4 year warranty. They are obliged to either fix the TV or provide same or similar model TV as a replacement. I think you contact then ASAP and start the warranty repair process.

Prepare to wait during this process. They tend to prolong warranty/replacement work at BB hoping you forget about it.

One of our members recently had a problem with his TV and I think he had a BestBuy warranty. It was going to be a couple of months before they could fix it and I believe they gave him credit for a new TV instore. (Edit: I think it was Grimster)
I would definetly try and go that route. HDTV technology has improved greatly in the last couple years.

Well, they will probably opt to repair the issue to be honest with you. I will say this, my experience with their repair techs was not that great, but I have only dealt with their PC repair (before the whole "geek patrol" purchase). I won't go into the details other then to say they were incompitent to the point of idiocy (I took it in because the CD-ROM was broken, it would not allow you to eject the CD unless the system was at the BIOS screen... simple right? Get new CD-ROM device, remove PC cover, unscrew 4 philips screws, unplug 1 4 pin molex power connector, unplug 1 80 pin IDE ribbon cable, insert new CD-ROM, plug in 4 pin molex power connector, plug in 80 pin IDE ribbon cable, screw in 4 philips screws, close PC cover.... 6 weeks later I finnaly am fed up and take PC home, they said it won't even boot, and that they replaced the hard drive so I lost all data because they couldn't get system to boot, and they didn't know where the origional drive is... well, here is what the idiots didn't do... they didn't connect the same IDE cable, so that had 2 devices on the same IDE channel both set to master, which is why it won't boot... they also hadn't replaced the CD-ROM device yet either since when the put in the new one they couldn't get the system to boot, so they put the old one back in and then replaced the hard drive.... Little did I know what the $15 I saved on buying a CD-ROM and doing it myself would cost me simply because it was under the 1 year warrenty).

So back to BB and repairs, if they are anything like they were when I had to use them, it will take a while and maybe they will fix the problem... But don't think for a minute that if it costs them more then the money you paid for the "extra care" insurance that they will have incentive to do it quickly, cause that just won't happen, sorry, the policy is there for them to make money, not spend it.
