How come they let you make reviews for home audio and not for car audio products?

We do, in fact, plan to enable the "owner review" function for car audio products.

Perhaps you had noticed that, for quite some time, owners could post their review in the Multimedia pages. We chose to test it there before moving it to other product areas since there was some risk of getting fake reviews. Would someone from the "dark side" spam the site with fabricated reviews?

We decided that, just as in the forums, we wouldn't do it if we weren't prepared to be honest. That customer reviews would be unedited - we would take the good with the bad. (There have been 2 exceptions thus far - we deleted the customer's comments because they contained racist rantings BUT we left their product ratings unchanged.)

Based on our experience with the multimedia speakers reviews, we felt the risks were acceptable so, about four weeks ago, we opened the home product for review posting.

To answer your question (if you made it through all my ravings), you will be able to post car product reviews certainly by late May.
