    Default WTF????

Somebody needs to fire someone in the design dept. I'm sure it hauls like no tomorrow, but that looks like a bad batmobile spinoff....

    Can anyone say 'beyond thunderdome'?

Serious, looks like the Ferrari body kit they used to market for Fiero owners....

Just doesn't scream Ferrari to me....

    Cheers,
    Russ

    THIS is a Ferrari....

    Default FERRARI KILLER

You can have your Italian Stallion - Give me some American Horsepower!

The two above are almost unatainable unless you have a few extra million laying around. Ford just might build this one for a couple hundred thousand.

    Scott,
Isn't FX the code name for the upcoming F60?

    Shack,
The new GT40 is definitely bitching. I wouldn't mind getting behind the wheel of one of those things with it's 500hp supercharged V8. If they do make it, it should sell for around $100k. If it's as fast as they claim, it might be a relative "bargain." Dodge Viper's of the world beware. By the way, does anybody remember the quad turbo-charged V12 GT90?

    Default I'm with Russman.

If I had the knowledge, sobriey and resources I'd post a picture of a Shelby A.C. Cobra. To the best of my knowledge (ain't sayin' much), the '68 Cobra (427cid Cobrajet) is THE fastest American (mass)production car to date. The Vector can go faster but they only make about 3/yr.

P.S. That was ugly. On the other hand, I just bought a KIA.

    Default Cobra

The 427 did, if not still hold the record. 0 to 100 and back down to 0 in 12.8 seconds.

Anybody know how fast the McClaren F1 could do that? It's certainly a faster car with better acceleration, but I don't know about 0-100-0.

I think in actual testing the car never topped 230mph. Other test numbers I saw were 0-60 in 3.1s and 0-100 in 6.1s. That's just retarded-fast. But hey, for a cool million, it should be.

Micah, what the hell are you doing? I'm going to have to come down there and smack you upside the head! Move this thread back to where it's supposed to be. There's no mention of car audio here.

I went to the first F1 race.
It rained and, sitting in the rain really sucked.
I may be interested in giving Indy's F1 race another try.
    Got tickets?

Aaron -The McLaren F1 LM did the 0-100-0 in 11.5 sec. There were only 5 built.

If my memory serve me correctly, I think a Dodge Viper GTS and a Porsche 911 turbo finally beat the 427 Cobra's 0-100-0 time. It only took them a little over 30 years to do it. Of course there is a little controversy over the Cobra's time. Car and Driver did a test that was reported to be in the mid 13s and it never got to the 12s. Many claim that the timing was done by hand and not totally correct. None the less the 427 was and still is an awesome car!

    Default Feather weight

The Viper GTS did beat the Cobra. And it did it weighing almost a thousand pounds more. And without AWD (911 Turbo). Check out the Hennesey Venom Viper Twin Turbo. 60 MPH in 3.1, quarter mile in 9.9. Now that will kill any Ferrari you will ever find on the street.
