    Default volume is what?

    What increases the volume? Watts? (powerconsumption?) Or more likly volts?

    Just a curious question...

    watts = volts X amperage

    increase any one of these and you get more volume.

    then there are other formulas like work (in joules) = force (newtons) x distance (meters)
    and power (watts) = work / time

    These last two aren't too much related to audio but meh.

    Those are the equations, but shifting voltage potential is the process.

    And my Sunfire is calibrated in joules...

    EE's,

    How does Ohms Law fit in there somewhere as far as current flow and voltage as electrical pressure along with the resistance are concerned? I have read this many times but seems I just dont write it in my own words clearly. Been 30 hears since my last electronics class. The gain knob allows for more voltage pressure to push more current and you get more watts which raises the amplitude of the wave so its louder. ehhh.
