Most of the money percentage wise that's invloved with the more expensive cables including "Y"s is in the connectors used. The one you have pictured uses relatively inexpensive connectors on it. Doesn't make it a worthless "Y" cable though.

Stinger makes car audio cables and they make some damn good ones. Those are very good. They have a solid connection, are built well and will have good noise rejection characteristics.
