    Default Air Space?

I was told to post this here instead of sub hookup and bass management. So much for the newbie trying to be cool! :D

I have a 12" Kicker subwoofer that I bought 2nd hand that I would like to build a box for. I was wondering if anyone knows what the air space specs would be.

Yeah, that was the home audio department. Much smarter guys over on this side! :p

OK, so what specific model sub you talking about?

Most Kicker subs require pretty big boxes so itll be at least 1 ft3 or more.

Yeah all kicker subs all space hogs except for the solobarics. So if you have any kicker sub other than the square solobarics for a 12 your going to need 1.25 cubic feet.

I looked at it and the only thing that it says it Kicker Competition. I guess I really don't know that much about it.

Go here and find which model you have.

There is the Comp, Comp VR, L5, L7 and SoloBaric model subs. The L5,7 and SB are square so you dont have one of those.

That website will also tell you the recommended specs for the box size.
