    Default Purchasing New Pol Speakers

Hi ... i'm in the phase to purchase a new HT speakers' system! I got a Yamaha RXV757 with an output of 100W /Channel ... got a room of 4.50meters x 3.80meters ... Very excited about the RT series, but don't know what to buy; RTi8 or RTi10? matching center & Surround?? Any suggestions guys? Thanks in Advance.

    75% Movies and 25% Music. I've got a 1 year old JBL E150P Sub, it's a pretty good one.

That mix and a sub you like in a fairly small room, I'd say the 8's would do nicely and they'd be a little less taxing for your AVR.

Center and Surrounds? No reason not to use the site's System Builder.

I have the 8's and I love them. I think they have a better overall sound compared to the 10's, I thought the 10's were lacking something in the midrange and I have heard others think the same. In the small room they should be fine, I have them in a 20x20 ft. room and theyre fine running off my yamaha. As far as center I thought I would be fine with the CSi3, and it does sound fantastic but then I listened to the CSi5 with it and it just sounded perfect, almost no telling when sound moved from one speaker to another, just a nice even front soundstage with the 8's. So like I said the CSi3 is a great speaker, but I HAD to listen to the CSi5 and I hate knowing that I might be missing out on something just a bit better, the thing is huge though. ANd for surrounds the FXi5's are fantastic but in my humble opinion the FXi3's are just a better overall value, I doubt you'd miss that extra bit of bass in the surround channels for an extra $150.

I have the 10's. They do lack depth if not powered by a beast. My AVR could not cut it. Upgraded to a dedicated amp and using the AVR as a pre. Could not be happier now. The 10's need a lot of juice. But once they get that juice, they are hard to beat. I have no need for a sub when listening to music. None at all.

For your needs, the 8's would probably be best, unless you intend on getting a dedicated amp.
