    Default New Years Resolutions?

Every year a lot of us make resolutions for the new year. Also, every year most of us break those resolutions. :D

The past few years I have mostly tried to keep mine and have succeded. This year may be different given my resolution.

#1: NO audio or video equipment purchases. See, I told you this would be a tough one! I'm looking around thinking how crazy this hobby has become. I'm going to enjoy what I have and put all that extra coin into savings investments.

#2: Organize my equipment into a nice system rather than having it strung all over the place. You know, organized nicely on stands like normal people do. No components sitting around with cables going everywhere on a temporary basis. This fits right in with #1.

#3: Organization of my media. Right now every CD I own is in the wrong case (if in a case at all) and all of my lp's are housed totally randomly. I might have ZZ Top next to the Dixie Chicks. Yea, I know, I meant to burn that one... Oh yea, and enter all that data into my spread sheet so I know what I have and where it is.

#4: Clean out the rest of the gear I have not been using. Somehow, I don't need seven EQ's and a half dozen sound processers in the closet. Two phono preamps? Nope, why keep an extra...

What are your resolutions?? Non audio related ones ok too...

1- Get back into shape. My last job was killing me slowly and I got further and further undiciplined in the gym and as a result Im fatter and in worse shape than Ive ever been. I plan on fixing that this year.

2- To make it to either USACi or MECA world finals....and win!

    I only have a few.

1- To set up the man cave. This will include renovation, running a couple dedicated 30A circuits, accoustic treatment, and furniture. I am excited about this project.

2- Start using the excercise equipment I have, so it becomes more than a high priced clothes rack. This will be after #1, as this is a contiguous space. Plus it will be nice to have the music to work out to.

3- Clean out and organize the garage. This way I might be able to DO something down there w/o spending half the time looking for what I need. This will include tunes. This probably needs done first. It'll make #1 easier.

Oh, thats a given. I just have to clean up the blood and remove some old bones laying about. Oh, and that old spirit that keeps coming around. He just mangles new visitors.
