RTA8 "KIT" - just build the cabinets

I have the following equipment that I'm not using.

Four (4) 6510 drivers; SOLD
Two (2) SL2000 tweeters; Available
Two crossovers (including input terminal) from RTA8s. I also have the engineering drawing from Polk of the crossover network. The crossover was designed for two 6510s and an SL2000. SOLD
Two (2) port tubes that are pretty close to what the RTA8 used. SOLD


Even though I've had Polks since 1990 and currently have 4 pair, I've never had a Polk center and I want one. So, I need cash. I'd always intended to make the cabinets for these - but I never did do it and I doubt I'll ever get to it. Someone can get a lot more good from this stuff than I'm getting.

You could throw together a pair of MDF boxes and have a great pair of speakers for not much money.

I'd consider selling separately if there is interest from multiple people, but I'd hate to break up the set and ruin the potential. I know some people might want to use the new tweeter rather than the SL2000s, so I would consider selling the 6510s and crossovers sans tweeters.

I'd love to get $80 plus half of the actual shipping for the whole lot. But if the general Forum consensus is that that is overpriced, then we can talk.

6510s, crossovers and ports are at this point sold to BlueMDPicker.

I don't mind holding on to the tweeters as I still have SL2000s in my Monitor 7Cs.

But if someone needs one, let me know. I will part with one for a forum member in need.

Now... what does "BlueMDPicker" mean.... ?
