I'm wanting to replace my Sony dvp-685nc dvd/sacd changer because of its 2 second layer change delays and poor CD redbook performance.

J&R. and it's $130 my fault. I don't know anything about Denon DVDplayers except that they're highly regarded here. I just need a basic player with excellent ps video performance and good redbook performance. I don't need a universal player- thus i'm not willing to spend over twice the money for the next in line 1920 model.

ok i'm thinking maybe PolkThug's link to the older denon 910 model for $105.

OR the dvd-2800 for $198. Anybody have any experience with either of these?

the 2800 looks REALLY nice but is it's technology out of date?
