    Default Opinions please

I have just purchased a set of MMC6500, a set of MMC460, and MM2104 for my 05 Silverado Extd Cab. And I have a Phoenix Gold Tantrum 400.4 and Tantrum 1200.1 amps to run this system. Will these Polks stand up to the pounding of the Phoenix Gold amps??????
    Thanx,
    Bill

The speakers will easily handle the 50 watts per channel but that 1200x1 is going to be quite a bit more than a single 2104 can handle. If its 300x1 at 4 ohms then youll be ok. I wouldnt use anymore than the 300 its rated at.

So I'll have to turn down the gain almost all the way till I get another 2104 to run with it and still keep the gain down I take it.

What is the power output of that 1200.1 at 4 ohms?

uh... no, that would be wrong... it's probably 250WRMS x 1 Ch. @ 4 Ohms, but 1200WPeak x 1 Ch. @ 4 Ohms, which is a useless number... RMS is the only one you need to worry about, and it's right inside the sub's useful range, so you're good to go...

hmm... the specs on this amp don't seem to make sense, from what i can find of them... 1200 watts at 4 ohms but only 1400 at 2 ohms, yet it's "2-ohm stable"?? no THD listed at the rated output? i'm very skeptical...

in any case, what was the question?

Bottom line, that amp is way too big for 2 MM2104's.
