Default After a month with D rocket

Well,I have listen to my rocket ufw10 now for a month, and I have to say Im very happy with my choice...thanx to EarlyB for bringing it to my attention!I was going with svs, hsu,or onix, and of course I couldnt audition any of the three, being their only available on the net.So I depended on all of your thoughts, and a many reviews, the onix was always metioned first when it came to music, and I agree...very musical!I run it with rti8's and really does make them sound better, richer sound. It doesnt over power them,it just blends in real well.I have found myself listening to some of my older rock cd's since Ive got it.The 8's really sounded great on smoother music, but I always thought they were missing something on rock music, the rocket has fixed that,Im thrilled with my decision, but I wouldnt say its better than an hsu,noe svs, because Ive yet to hear one.Again thanx to everybody for your input...special thanx to B!

Glad to hear you're enjoying it.

I actually sold mine because I got bored one day and decided to try something new just for the hell of it. Take my advice -- there's no reason whatsoever to change out your sub.

I went with a DIY Dayton Titanic 10" sub. Sure, it sounds great and I'm happy with it. Has a different sound than the Onix, though. Hits harder at the same volume level but has less finesse than the Rocket, so that's the tradeoff. However, the Onix is obviously better looking and has more features. For music only, I would generally recommend the Onix over the Dayton.

My Onix replaced a Hsu STF-2. The Hsu is an incredible performer for music and I would say that the Onix sounds only slightly better. I used to own an SVS PB12, too, and the Hsu and Onix is certainly more musical, IMO.
