This is interesting:
"Available in both Single and Dual 4 Ohm Voice Coil configurations. The SR104DVC and SR124DVC are pre-wired for a 2 Ohm load. Both 4 Ohm voce coils are wired in parallel from the factory."
There MUST be SR amps on the way that can handle a constant 2ohm load.

DVCs will be available first, SVCs will follow (not sure of exact date).
No SR amp plans for the near future. A C500.1 has plenty of power for a DVC SR woofer, though.

Hell yea those are a beut. to pricey for me but its a dream to come true.
Shadow Inc records
I'm really liking the stats on them. Plus, I've been contemplating getting a high performance single 10" sub for a while, especially one that takes as little airspace as possible! .66ft^3 is about as good as I'll ever find. SOLD!

so, the DVC is preset as a 2ohm, and the svc will be a 4 ohm?
Picking ones nose signifies a strong sense of self discovery :)
System in the works: ;)
PP 6V6 with 12ax7 pre ~ 20 watts
15" Jensen MOD 8ohm ~ 97db SPL
DiMarzio HS3 and/or Tone Zone S
The SVC will be a single 4 ohm VC and the DVC will be dual 4 ohm VC's.

dual 4 ohm vc's that are just prewired for 2ohm. Obviously you can run them in 8 ohm if needed.

I wonder what the x-max is on the SR subs.![]()
With a dual voice coil sub you can also put a separate amp on each voice coil, right?

but they'd like two 300.2's. MMMMMMM I might have to pick me up 3 300's now. I'm really liking that idea.

how can we compare it if no one has heard one?
BTW, I was curious to see what everyone thought of the 2015 Corvette and if they thought it out performed the current Z06...

no, it's that 'the proof is in the pudding', as my quantum prof likes to say... the stats certainly tell a story, but it is by no means complete... the only true test is with your ears...

I'd suggest the C500 for sub work.Originally Posted by MacLeod
