    Question Speaker Prices

    General Question:

    Has anyone noticed if Polk changes it speakers prices at certain times of the year?

    Specific Question:

    The basement is nearing completion and I am ready within the next month to purchase three LC265i and a pair of LC80i speakers. I know during the Xmas season they offered a subwoofer ($199 value) with the purchase of speakers over $499. Just curious if anyone has noticed if the LC265i or LC80i price is reduced during the spring. I want to purchase from an authorized dealer and thus it will cost 3 x $649 + 1 x $799 = $2746.

    I just installed LC265i (4 total) in my bar and pooltable room. In adition, I own LSi25s for my HT. Their is no way I would use the in-walls for HT, except for surrounds.

    In-walls sound like a good idea but they do not compare to stand alones.

    Other than the subwoofer promotion, about the only time you can expect a price cut is when a line is being closed out. Unfortunately for your sake I don't see that happening anytime soon. I guess you will just have to be content knowing that you are buying some of the best bang for the buck speakers out there. :)
