I was wondering if anyone knew if the polk audio r30's had a automatic cutoff circuit.

Is the problem with the tweeters, one entire speaker or both entire speakers?

If your tweeters "turn off" and then come back on again after they've had a rest, then your speakers have a tweeter protection circuit. The most likely cause of the tweeters shutting down is that you're clipping (over driving) your receiver, AVR or power amp. The solution, turn it down or buy a better power source.
