    havent read it all but i just want to say that thx is a conn/ripoff.........

    still looks interesting but expensive

    That's not entirely accurate. THX is a set of standards. What the companies decide to do to get there may be where the con part comes in. It is an attempt to set a standard for home theater quality.
    I think it is a step in the right direction personally.
