    Question Dedicated Circuits

    Question:

How many dedicated circuits/type do you have for your system?
    ___ 15A
    ___ 20A

How do you seperate your gear across the circuits?

If you use a power conditioner/surge do you save one or more across the individual circuits? If not what gets plug into the conditioner.

Everything I have goes through my power conditioner.
I want to get a dedicated 20 amp outlet but that is going to have to wait.

Adamstown, eh? I almost bought that big stone house across the tracks from the PO.

When I'm finished getting things done around here it will be one dedicated 20 amp line per piece with a UPC-200 for each piece.

The one with all the Confederate Flags? Do you still live in the area? We bought into the Green Hill Manor (Ausherman community) 6 years ago.

It was the only stone house in town that I was aware of, but there were no Confederate Flags when I looked at it. I'm closer to the Woodbine area now.

I'm planning to add a 40A breaker in my last remaining spot, install #6 so I can run a 60A in the future, add a subpanel with (2) 20A breakers for two 20A outlets.

I have two installed in my room; one 15 amp and one 20 amp. I use the 20 amp line to power my entire system using a BPT BP-2.5 balanced power conditioner.

If your total system power draw is less than 2400VA, have you considered installing one 20 amp dedicated line for your entire system and use a BPT BP-2.5 Ultra balanced power conditioner. If budget has not expired, you might want to consider the addition of the Bybee Quantum Purifiers (BQP) and the HFC-30 differential noise filter.

I have a dedicated 20 amp line supplying a BP-2.5 with the BQP and HPC-20 (legacy version of HPC-30) options powering my entire system. Read the reviews of the BPT units to get an understanding of what to expect when using balanced power.

I had tested the PSA Ultimate Outlet in my system and found the BPT unit to be much superior. As we do not have a local PSA dealer anymore, I have not tested the UPC-200, nor have any desire to.

To achieve further gains (if within budget), how about a BP-3.5 Signature or Signature Plus unit. Read the 6moons review of the Signature unit as well as the Signature Plus update.

If you are set on seperating components, I would suggest that you run analog components through the 20 amp circuit using a BP-2 or BP-2.5 or BP-3.5 series unit and digital components through a 15/20 amp circuit using a BP-1 / BP-10.5.

You might want to test powering the entire system through the larger transformer before seperating the analog and digital components.

Have I spent enough of your money yet?? I have another suggestion that I have not verified yet. With a little luck, it will happen later this year.

I hope you seriously consider this option.

Let us know at some point what you decide to do.

    I've got two 15amps and a 20amp.

The 5 channel (2300watt max draw) 9B goes on the 20amp; the 4b goes on one 15amp and the rest goes on the other 15amp.

In the new place I'll probably do what I-Sig has in mind- pull a bigass line up to the unfinished attic and put in a subpanel- Might do an independent ground for it at the same time.

1 20amp to each listening room (2), 1 20amp to the HT room.

Balanced power supplies will be the final step for me, power wise.

I have one dedicated 20 (now I wish I had put two!) and I have it just for my pre and Cinenova. Everyrhing else is on 15s that came with the house through my Monster 2500 except for the SVS which is on a 15 by itself with a Harmonic Technology power cord.
