    You sure type like one too hehe! I am 16 and almost 17 in 2 months woot!

    Anyways, I don't think in most cases Watt and Peak means jack.

    Look into the Athena B1.2 line, I think those are like the most common I've seen for a pair of bookshelves on a budget.

    Hola little runt,

    If you can wait a month - check this out;

    http://www.av123.com/products_produc...s&product=82.1

    Assuming the final production model is like the prototype I heard - these speakers are simply unbeatable at their price point. Just to give you an idea, they hang in there with the Polk LSi-7's... in fact, I'd go so far as to say they out the 7's in everything except resolution.

    If your budget allowed, I would have recommended the Tannoy Sensys DC1. :p

    Sure Bear - because you've actually heard them side by side, haven't you? Come on, I would expect that comment from a few others here, but not you..

    For the record, I would personally consider it a draw in build quality. The XLS monitors are big, incredibly solid (heavy) monitors with great bracing. The LSi's are no slouch in build quality as you know. If it wasnt for the wood slab on the side of the LSi's... the XLS would be all over them. Now cosmetics / visual appeal....thats another gig entirely.

    Are you opposed to buying used? Or are you only wanting something new?

    Ohskigod,

    PM me your addy and I will show you some photo's.. When I had the xls monitors, I just got through going through a plethora of affordable bookshelves between $500-1000 (retail). Unfortunately, all I had on me when the XLS monitors came were a pair of Polk RTi4's and LSi-7's to directly compare them to.
