Default Got my first taste of a DSLR

In photography class today I got to go into the studio and shoot some pics. I started out with my regular minolta xg-1 slr (nothing fancy) and my teacher, who is freaking awesome, quickly handed me the school's brand new Nikon D50 digital slr. It's an amazing camera to say the least. He had his personal nikkor macro lens on the nikon body and he let me go nuts. This was my second time in the studio (last time was two years ago ) so I wasn't expecting much, although I did manage to get a cool couple pictures of an orange. That body with that lens (worth more than the body ) is an amazing combo for some cool close pics.

Pretty much the moral of the story is I have something else to save up for. DSLR's are just so cool in how you can get quality results and maintain control in the process but have the ability to see how it turned out instantly helping you change things or reshoot it to create a better image in the end. I enjoy the darkroom process but this adds a different love to the hobby.

Here are a couple I took today. Nothing fancy but a good start I think. Pics are completly untouched except for having been compressed because the originals are big... I think my favorite is the first one.

Cool stuff, I like the last one.
