Default Are your stickers falling off your speakers ?

Anyone know why the sticker labels just magicly fall off the speakers after a certian amount of time ? I've had stickers fall off of some of my speakers, which are all Polk Audio.

Could certian aresols or cleaning solvents cause the stickers to fall off after a certian amount of time ? I use windex to dust off from time to time. I only wipe down the stickers with a bare napkin with no solvents on them whatsoever.

Too late for one of them - I lost the sticker to one of my speakers which I am planning to sell - the CS350.

Mine are still snug on my RT7s, on the rear. Heat and sunlight(UV) cause the adhesive to degrade.

Just thought I'd bump this since I just found it in a search. I just bought a CS350 center channel and the sticker is missing from it. There's leftover glue residue on the back where the sticker used to be... It seems that the glue dries up and loses stickiness.
    Ludicrous gibs!

On my CS350, the sticker came off. I can paper clipped it to the manual so I have it if I ever need it. I may reattach it some time, but for now, pretty lazy.

    No...

    But on a side note,

I have always thought the badges of certain luxury cars should fall off after a pre-determined amount of time or after x miles...

...Sorry but a 1986 C230 is no longer a Mercedes

I usually rip the stickers off as soon as I buy them. Many of them are cheap looking. On my most recent pair, I ripped the stickers from the front of the speakers and glued them to the back so I won't forget who made them.

HiPerf360 - I'd have to disagree with you there. The 1986 C230 may not even be recognizable as a Mercedes when compared to what they offer today, but it was still made by Mercedes and represents where the company was in 1986 and the kind of car they made.

I was just giving a generalization....

Just a mental picture kind of thing..... Hell, I don't even know if a C230 was available then....

Just picture the jerk off at the local night club using the "I drive a Mercedes" line.

FWIW: Mercedes still makes a damn fine car.
