Sub enclosure plans on Polk's web site?

Howdy,

I'm looking to put a pair of 12" subs into a sealed enclosure.

I was happy to see the "Need subwoofer box plans?" link on Polk's web site.

And there's lots of different encloses to choose from. But I don't see the plans themselves.

Am I missing something?

i don't think they give you actual cutting diagrams... to be brutally honest, if you can't figure out the board sizes from the given box size, you may want to reconsider building your own box

The word "plans" set an expectation that wasn't met :-)

I'm pretty sure if you call Kim he could spit out some dimensions.

As soon as we post a box that's 38" wide everyone will tell us that won't fit in their car. Or that a 18" tall box won't fit under the rear deck of their car.

Parts Express has a calculator if your bored.

the polkies used to have an actual "length. width, etc" deal goin on...

I remember something called the "Block Buster" er.... somethin... i dunno.

but it was like 8 or 12 EXII series subs in an 8 ft truck bed. I soooo totally wanted to build that when I was like 17.

Now, I'd be like "dammit, that's a lot of work.... i'm an old man, screw it".

This is actually the reverse - if you blow a driver in a speaker, you can enter the dimensions of the cabinet and it'll tell you what driver will work.

Worth bookmarking, though. Thanx.
