    Question Panamax 4300 vs 5100?

I'm getting ready to buy a Panamax line conditioner and need to decide between the 4300 or 5100. I'm running a H/K 635 receiver, 5.1 surround including a SVS PB-10 sub, satellite receiver, DVD player & VCR. The 4300 has one outlet for high current equipment (like a receiver or sub), while the 5100 has two high current outlets. Can I use the 4300 and plug the receiver into the one high current outlet & plug the SVS sub into any of the other 4300 outlets or should I buy the 5100 with outlets for the receiver & sub?

If your going to plug the sub in get the 5100. It's a step up in protection not to mention it has the correct outlets you need. The High current outlets are non current limiting.
The 5100 is a nice conditioner.

I definately want the sub protected, I am just unsure if I can use one of the left over outlets on the 4300 to plug the sub in.

    1 vote for the 5100 ;)

Chances are with the PB10, you may not notice any difference with it plugged into one of the regular outlets on the 4300. I use the older Panamax 5100's, and I have a NAD receiver plugged into the regular outlets because the HT receiver and 5 ch. amp are plugged into the high current outlets on the 5100 in the bedroom. I switched the NAD receiver back and forth to compare, and I couldn't hear any difference.

I would vote for the 5100 also. It's a good step up from the 4300 and still at a reasonable price. Plus it has the two high-current outlets.
