    Default TCi series - TC65i + TC60i or TC80i ?

I'm assembling a 7.1 HT setup and considering the TCi series - 3 rectangular in-wall for the front and 4 circular in-ceiling for side and rear. The TCi series are within budget - TC65i for the front. When looking for "matching" side and rear there is the TC60i and TC80i with 6.5" and 8" mid-range driver respectively.

How do I choose between the 6.5" and 8"? Simply listen to them?

I suggest trying listen to them all if possible. Fail that I would try to match the lower -3dB limit. For the TC65i it's 50Hz and the TC60i matches that. This would work great if your recievers crossover can be set to 60Hz or even better 55Hz. Match it with good sub and your set.

I have the TC60i in my set up and like them but if I were to do it again I would go with the TC80i to better match my RTi10s. I set my reciever to 50Hz and the TC60i sounds great. The next step up on my receiver is 80Hz the RTi10 just does not sound good to my ear set there.
