    Unhappy RT1000i crackling/rattling

My current dilemma is that one of my RT1000i started making crackling/rattling sounds. This basically happens when playing music as well as watching movies. The crackling/rattling sound is coming from the upper part of the speaker. Any suggestion what the problem might be? Thanks!

    Unhappy

Now that I have verified that the speaker driver is blown using goingganzo's method....is there any special process that I have to undertake to get a driver replacement (as you can probably tell I am a newbie)?

    Thanks to everyone who replied!

Call Polk. They will take care of you. Pulling the driver out is a breeze.
