Default LSi9 or LSiFX for rear surrounds?

They cost about the same. I was leaning toward the LSi9's. They will be wall mounted, both have plate in back for easy mounting. Any opinion would be appreciated. Thanks! Yes, I'm looking at amps too.

While the LSi9 does have a power port, I don't believe it is designed as a wall mount like the LSi7 or FX. I would actually prefer the LSiFX regardless for the bipole/dipole capability for movies.

I would go with the Lsi7's or Lsifx. The 9's can't be wall mounted not to mention there to damn deep.

The 7's make perfect rears . I liked them

    Default Hmmm

I thought the plate in the back of the 9's made them mountable. Thanks for the info. I thought that normal speakers would be a good choice over dedicated surrounds in case I changed configuration later on. I hardly ever see the 7's for sale on line. At least not as much as 9 or FX.

the plates do allow the 9 to be wall mounted, but it's kind of awkward. the LSi9 is a very deep speaker. the argument isnt wether it could be wall mounted, its wether it should. and cast my vote to know. I have the 9's as surrounds and wouldnt consider wall mounting it. they are on stands.

go 7's or lsifx for wall mounting. the 9's seem a little underutilized for surround duty anyway

the nine's do not have the keyhole, but supposedly, the powere port mounted to the back can be used as a mount, not sure how. to me the point is moot, the 9's are way too deep to not look retarded as a wall mount

Don't attempt this. the speaker i to heavy for the mount to work. If you want rear, the 9's are not the way to go.
