    Default Replacing stock jumpers

I just read in another post about somebody replacing the stock jumpers of the lsi line with 12 gauge speaker wire. How many people do this and what improvements have you heard? If you have tried this and didn't like it tell me why. I have lsi15's and have never even given it any thought.

Oh and if you do replace them are you using spades?

The idea is that speaker wire has gotta be a better conductor than those cheap brass jumpers. Just cut four pieces of 3" bare speaker wire and try it for yourself. Good to do even if it's for peace of mind. I've done it a couple of times, but can't say that I actually heard an improvement.

I think it took me too long to go from the brass ones to the homemade jobs to do a quick a/b between the two. It didn't make enough of a difference to stand out much, but it surely didn't make things sound any worse. I just used 6" long pieces of the same 12 awg wire I use to connect my speakers to my amp.

It's a cheap experiment that's worth trying out. Since I use bananas for my normal speaker connection I just used bare wire for the jumpers and then the nanners into the top posts.
