I've got a question on the banana jacks on the LSI9's. I've had a pair for a couple years that I have used with 14 gage speaker cable screwed on to the binding posts.
It has been a long time since I listened to them on my main system and I brought them upstairs to put on the main amplifier. I am running some audioquest cables with banana terminations on the main system, so I pulled them out of the SDA's and went to hook them up to the LSI's and encounterred the banana cap that came with the LSI-9's. Having never used the banana input I had never removed them.
I tried to pull them out, but they wouldn't budge. I checked the manual to see if there was a specific procedure to remove them and it just said to gently pry them out. I carefully tried a small electronics screwdriver and a pering knife, but all I succedded in doing was taking a small chunk or two out of the plastic banana cap. They all seem to be stuck in there fairly well.
Anyone ever encounter this or have any suggestions?
