Default Any opinions on B&K amps?

I found a B&K ST-1430 3 channel amp for less than $300 and I'm wondering if I should go ahead and snag it. It's 105 watts x 3 with gain controls for each channel. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

I here nothing but good things about B&K. They are usually a little pricey. going by instict only, I think thats a pretty good price for that amp if it serves your needs.

Mid 90's, doesn't exactly match their current reference series, but comes close. Price is good- they're usually closer to $400-$450.

    Smile B&K amps

    Hi,
I just bought a B&K ST-202 from sleezbay. It sounds very good, smoothed out the midrange and great bass. It is 140 watts/ch. I paid $320 plus shipping but the seller didnt include a fuse holder or the power cord so I am still waiting for the $75 discount to make things good. I thought it might be the right kind of amp to tame the brightness in my system and I was right.

B&K makes some nice sounding amps. Fairly warm and nuetral in sound. Good current driving capability. I have used the ST-140 with good results. Currently running the B&K EX-442 Sonata on my SDA-1C's with very nice results.
Sounds like a good price for that amp. Buy it, and if it doesn't quite fit you should be able to turn it at a similiar price. I think you'll like it.

    Good price.

B&K amps are sweet sounding with plenty of current capacity. I think you'll like it.

I have one, too. I like it very much. Warm side of neutral, plenty of power, excellent repsonse.

    You'd probably like it.
