    Default new room decision?

I am moving into a new house where the Great Room has been pre-wired for HT. I am eventually going to have speakers installed in the ceiling along with a plasma tv. I really have several questions. Right now I am running my current system with an Onkyo 701 AVR. First, am I going to be able to use this receiver in my new setup? I am sure it depends on the type of speakers I get. Secondly, I am not going to be able to do this all at once due to money. I have a television that will be in the room at first so no television is not a problem. I am just wondering if I would be better off to get and enjoy my speakers installed and wait on the plasma, to get the plasma first and wait on the speakers, or have it all done at once. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Also, some suggestions on types of in ceiling speakers and subs would be great. I am saving for this but don't want to break the bank. I would love some different price categories and comparisons if anyone can help me out with this.
