So the idea for the most part is to have a system reporduce music so that it sounds natural ...as if the instruments were in front of you.
I'm curious what experience you all have with live music to where you know what an instrument should sound like?
Sound engineers, in a band, see live music (who) etc? Talk about your experiences.
I personally love to see live music so that is my point of reference. I never played an instrument until recently and I'm trying to learn some acoustic guitar (Why didn't I do this sooner - kicking self). I'll admit to being somewhat of a hippy when it comes to seeing live music but I'll see anything from bluegrass, metal, ska, reggae, blues, pop, jambands etc..
I try to be critical but not jaded when seeing shows and evaluationg sound/performance. Kinda like at home. Sometimes it's hard not to have high expectations but that can lead to trouble.
