    Default NFL Draft day!

Well, it's finally here! The one and only true sport I follow.

Anyone else watching/listening to the draft? Some interesting picks, some terrible ones, and some real steals. Can't wait for this year to get underway...

Thru and thru... Chief's Fan! Tamba Hali from Penn state for us. I think he will compliment Big Jared Allen nicely on putting that pressure on the QB.

And how about them Donkies... Another Jay to Lark around :D Oh, it's a good day in football!!

Just keep telling yourself that three years from now... BTW, you picked the wrong D-linemen. Oh well, typical queefs At least Herm Edwards continues his brain cramps during the draft...

I can't believe we got A.J. Hawk. Quite possibly the best player in the draft. Guess we'll see how things play out. Might I actually be excited about Packer football this year?

That's the girl from 3rd Rock from the Sun, isn't it? Nina.

I do like the picks from Raiders, Minn & Carolina. Especially Carolina so low in the 1st round, they got a very good player.

    Nice trade for the donks.

Anyone know what the hell they are smoking in Buffalo? WTH?

I like SF and Jets so far. Browns have done allright as well.

Green Bay is going to LOVE A.J. Hawk. Just a hard-nose football player. We'll sure miss him in Columbus!

I will!! Heck, it's impossible to judge a draft until 3 years from now anyways... and why did they pick the wrong D-liner? I think he'll fit just fine, and besides, I'd take pure aggression over size anyday.

Ain't the size of the dawg... blah blah blah :D

Oh ya, I think Herm has done an excellent job with the Jets drafting, and playing young talent. I can only assume he'll do the same for us. Time will tell, but regardless, we field a competitive team every year. More than some can say!

I'm still befuddled by the Texans choice to skip over Bush.

I dunno. I honestly don't think he's gonna make it big time in the pro's. He seems to have the right attitude, that's for sure, but I just have a feeling he won't be in the league long!

You can say that about any rookie. Reggie Bush has always been highly regarded, but yes...I wouldn't be surprised if he were another bust. Seems like most 1st rounders are.

As a Niner fan, Im ecstatic over them getting Vernon Davis AND Manny Lawson. Davis has the ability to break all kind of records over his career; he's that good.
But I wa s alittle disappointed they didn't get Hawk, being a Buckeye's fan, I would have loved rooting for him every week!

Bush poses no more bust risk than Mario does. I would have gone with Bush instead. I can't even think of the name of the Texans current RB.

Also, I guess from being here in AZ, I have to admit, the damn Cardinals kicked ass today. I'm a Falcons fan though and though, but geez they did good today.

Falcons are doing it though trades and free agency this year although Williams the CB from VaTech was a nice pick up in the 2nd round.

Being from an NFC west team area, and a Seahawks fan by nature, I am somewhat nervous about the moves that Arizona has made this off season. I don't know a lot about football, but they should be a much, much better team next year.

I think a lot of people are. I'm just wondering if he was asking too much. Texan's have some big contracts. I'm not up on all the cap rules. They got a sort of cap amnesty for a little while being a new franchise. Carr and some of their other high draft pick players got big contracts. Their kicker Kris Brown got a huge contract when he signed from Pittsburgh. Williams signed Friday night. I'm wondering if it was the money.

Domanick Davis is the Texans current RB, and he is no slouch. He had more touches/game than eany other RB in the league last year. By a wide margin. But it was too big a load for him, and he was hampered by nagging injuries all year. I, for one, think the Texans did the right thing, only because more offensive weapons will not help them. They need a better O-line, and defense.
Oh, and most importantly, they need a new coaching staff. There's no excuse for how poorly they have played with the talent they have on that team.

Gotta agree with you. You could have Barry Sanders in his prime back there, if there's no one to block for him, you're just wasting his talent.

Nothing compared to the Seahawk's with Brian Bosworth...

God knows that the Texans need defensive help and filled a big need, but I, too, was shocked that they passed on Bush. $$$ has to have to entered the equation.

The difference between what Bush would bring to the texans and Williams bring is immense. Good teams start with the lines and then fill in talent. Without an O-line or D-line, everything else will suck.

Saints should have traded down though. Deuce McCalister is no scrub, I don't know how they'll use Bush

Deuce is getting older, and he was hurt last year. Life expectancy of RB's is not that long, and they know it. And they are REALLY hoping having Bush will help their attendance numbers!

What the Texans did could very well be on the Jordan/Bowie scale in the NBA with the Portland Jailblazers.. GMs completely overthinking the draft once again. It took some time for it to sink in for me, but as far as potential is concerned -- Reggie Bush was the smart choice. He should be an amazing RB in the NFL considering he was arguably the best college football player of all time. I guess that's why they play the games.

I'm just waiting to hear the sour grape colums from the Texas press.

Maybe this is some Katrina Karma for the residents of NOLA.
